On Suffering
Talk on Suffering
By Zoketsu Norman Fischer | March 14, 2008
Location: Metta Institute
In topics: Emotion, Buddhist Psychology

Norman speaks to professionals and care givers on the topic of suffering. "Suffering is the jewel in the crown of the way." "All spiritual goodness, all healing, develops from suffering, which is why it is so precious."
A sangha favoriteNorman speaks on sickness, old age and death, and the four noble truths in examining the transformative aspect of suffering. "Thanks to suffering,... the spiritual possibilities of the path are archieved." I found this talk very grounding and uplifting in discussing this central part of our practice.
